Bearing Seals 2000 Ford F150

Has anyone done this?

need to replace seals on rear axel bearings, leaking grease into drum.

1- How long?
2- Any special tools?
3- How much does this normally worth for a shop to do?

have done this on a BMW 325E but not a truck.. is it about the same?

I believe you need a press. Most Fords have the bearings pressed onto the axle shaft.

no press is needed. The rear end cover has to come off and the pin that holds the spider gears has to come out so that you can get the c-clip that holds the axle in off then slide the axle out and remove the seal.probably a good half, 3/4 day job for the un-experienced. a shop probably charges 1 1/2 hour plus parts.
good luck
