hemi rev limiter

hey guys, i have a 2006 dodge ram with a 5.6 liter hemi. i notice that when it is in park and i rev it up it only revs a certain amount then cuts off. im assuming it is some sort of rev limiter. is this limiting any horse power or air intake while im driving? if so, how do i remove it?

Completely Normal........Yes it has a rev limiter....No it isnt robbing you of HP....No you cant remove it....

It only works in Park or neutral range ...limit I believe is 3500......

IT IS NOT WISE TO REV AN UNLOADED MOTOR TO REV LIMIT!!!!!!!!!!! Hemis are quite a spectacle to see when they Blow apart, Grab the kiddies and the popcorn

There is another "High Range " limit for Driving, but I doubt you will ever see that.
