Tent Trailer

Are tenet trailers viable to go camping with considering their size?

Welcome to the forums! It depends on how many people you have going, how big the camper is, what type weather you will expect to encounter. If you stay in Florida, it would be an OK type of camper....as long as you don't camp on the Tamiami Trail. Enclosed trailers seem to have a more secure shell for those who want to keep out the bugs, bears, gators, etc. Economically, you may find a tent camper that will serve your purposes quite well.

Tent types can be fine..just be advised they may not be allowed in some areas subject to bears..as chandler said. And they are not secure...don't leave any valuables inside if you are away from it.

Tent camper

Every type of camper has good and bad features. The tent camper can be towed by a smaller and less powerful vehicle than a rigrd of the same size, but when you get there you have to set it up. In addition to the things already mentioned,if you camp in a noisey area the sound comes in like you were outside. I got rid of a pop up truck camper because of this.
