Oxygen sensor on 05 Dodge Ram 1500

I've got a bad oxygen sensor on a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 with a hemi. Code coming up is P0158 which is for an 02 sensor, Bank 2, Sensor 2.

Is this the sensor after the cat. converter? Is there only one sensor? Lastly, do you think I will need the special socket to get this out?

B2-S2 is located on the passenger side exhaust pipe ...after the catalyst.....Look carefully , as it can be very decieving with the way the pipes intertwine.

You should have 4 sensors....bank 1 and bank 2, pre and post cat for each bank....

A 7/8 box end wrench usually works if you are sure your going to replace the sensor.....Clip the connector off, and slide the wrench down the wire and over the sensor. Dont Use The OPEN END....It just turns out bad in the end......

If you arent ABSOLUTELY SURE that the sensor will NEVER be reinstalled, Buy the socket......

What Unc said. But with one sensor going bad, and you have 3 left, buy the special socket. It's called "a matter of time". At least you can pass it on to your grandkids.
