Post Norcold fridge 120X IM

Just bought 2003 RV with norcold 120x IM fridge. Freezer freezes great, fridge gets cold but when traveling warms up to 60, then cools down again when stopped for long period of time. Dosen't matter, gas or electric. We were driving in warmer temps. Any ideas?

Try a little duct tape or similar across fridge vent when traveling. Don't cover it in completely, see if that helps, or perhaps a home made deflector, to reduce airflow to back of fridge while traveling. Believe it or not, fridge needs to heat up outside, to cool it inside. Have tried reducing at roof vent as well by eliminating gap between roof & front of vent, to achieve reduced flow as well. Try one or other or both, but don't forget, some flow is necessary, so try a little at a time, then when parked & airflow obviously reduced, remove any tape on cover at side, just as a precaution. If done on front of vent at roof only & it works good, no need to remove it, as it doesn't create any restrictions to upward flow of air from side vent & up through top, when sitting, so it allows good flow.Depending on what style roof vent you have, a new style with cover at front that slopes downward close to roof, may be another option that will help.
