96 dakota engine stall
my 96 dakota with a 3.9 v6 manual trans. stalls often when cold it starts fine and runs fine but after the first few minutes of driveing it stalls at stops. If I rev it up to high r.p.m.s (5000) before stopping it will idle fine untill the next stop. I also get an intermiten check engine light.

First step will be to get the codes read so you might have a better starting point.
How is it for routine maintenance being done recently, i.e. plugs, wires, fuel filter, etc?
