Help ! 99 E-150 overdrive button on lever is blinking.

This just started happening,my guess is sliding and spinning wheels in recent major snow storm,any ideas ,thoughts ??

Check your dash board for a light that may be indicating the O/D is off. Try pushing the button and see if any indicator lights come on or go off. If this doesn't solve the problem, you may want to take it to your mechanic to have a look at it.

If it's anything like mine...it means the computer is detecting a problem with the trans. Could be any number of things from a sensor to a solenoid. Mine will be off when I first take off then after 3-4 start stops it will start. Really need to get mine to a shop and have it scanned...I just don't drive it for now.

Yours probably shouldn't be driven either. See page 10 of the manual here..http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdi...&VEHICLE=E-150
