2002 chevy 3500 power for trailer interior lights

2002 chevy 3500 power for trailer interior lights

I recently bought a 02 chevy 3500 to tow my car trailer--already has a hitch and 7 pin plug--all running and brake lights work but no power for the interior lights in the trailer--i havent been able to find any wiring diagrams with the info i need

Lights

Are the lights 12 volt or are they designed for 120 volt power?

trailer lights

12 volt worked on my other truck --no power to the trailer plug my ford had a relay to make it work havent found one on the chevy

Lights

Perhaps the relay is missing from the power distribution block where the fuses and relays are located.

all the relays are there none marked for trailer but I found one missing 40 amp fuse labeled ''stud'' I powered it up and now have 12v to my trailer for the inside lights
