Utility trailer: fastening wood floor to frame

I'm replacing the floor on my steel frame utility trailer. The old floor was attached using self-drilling self tap screws (TEK screws). he new floor will be 2x6s or 2x8s.

Options I've come up with are:
  1. stainless steel self tap screws (TEK)
  2. square bend u bolts, bend on floor side, countersunk into the floor, attached to the crossmembers with a bar

I'm wondering about other options. Any ideas?

Cheers!

Trailer Floor

Option 1. Use a small bit to drill up from the bottom to locate the original holes.

Carriage bolts from the top in the original holes, as Ken said. I would use 3/8" x whatever length you need to go through the wood and frame.
