Fuse size for lights

This may not be the correct forum but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask... Installing some headlights & and a work light on an old tractor & need to know what size fuse would be correct to install in the circuit for protection. The headlights are 55 watt each (12VDC) so that's a total 110 watt load & the work light is just 35 watts.

Thanks

Take the total wattage and divide by the voltage this will give you the amperage the lights will draw.

I would opt for a breaker rather than a fuse. I'd rather have them flash a few times on the way back to the barn than to blow a fuse and have to drive in total darkness.

Thanks guys.... I used that formula & rounding up a tad I plan to use a 5 amp fuse for the 35 watt work light & a 10 amp fuse for the headlights. Still trying to decide if I want to bother with light relays or just wire directly to the battery. The switches I bought are both rated at 20 amps & are lighted so its not like I'm going to be leaving the lights on. I would go with a breaker but my ranch is only a whopping 5 acres so I don't have too far to go!!!

You didn't mention your wire size and fuse and wire size goes together and both then must support the load requirements. Are you going with something like a 16AWG stranded wire?

On a 5 acre ranch I would reccomend a kerosine lantern.
