Loose Trim

My 2008 Silverado has a piece of trim on the lower part of the drivers side door which is beginning to come loose. It appears to be attached with adhesive. What kind of adhesive do I use to re-attach the trim?

Most all of them use tape now. Any autoparts store would have 3M trim tape. Would be best to remove the trim completely, remove any tape or residue, clean both surfaces well, apply new tape and reattach.

You might try some trim adhesive (basically contact cement) in the loose area...if you can get a q-tip or wooden skewer in there to spread the glue.

Weatherstrip adhesive [a yellow glue in a tube] is what was used for years. Most any parts store should have it. Whatever method you use - it will work best if all surfaces are clean! Blue painter's tape works well for keeping the trim in place while the adhesive dries.
