Question baffled about my 98 f150

Hello Alll:
I've got a 1998 ford F150 with 4.2 v6 5 speed man trans with 245,000 miles its been an awsom truck no problems to speak of but anyway heres my problem today.

@ the end of october my slave cylnder went out for the cluch so i started that project removing the transmission.( now i have leukima so i only could work on it for a few hours a day depending on the weather and how i feel enegry wise) ...so back to it i got the transmission out and back in after a month yes i said a month. in the prossess i had broken the exahaust manifolds bolts that disconnect the man form pipe so i removed the mans removed the o2 sensors from both mans and had the broken studds removed and new studds installed

so i put it all back to gether and everything seamed to be fine till that nasty chk engen light came on so i went and got the code read it was PO171 bank 1 lean i was told it was o2 went bad and but i had replace both up stream and down stream on bank 1 earlyer this summer so i though i mite have put the one form bank 2 side on bank 1 side. and that is what i have done so i put the swaped the o2 back to the newer one being on bank 1 and older 1 on bank 2 i drove it a cycle and it came on again (chk engen ) with same code i ve been pulling my hair out tring to fig this out im now bald and still clueless please help in anyway anybody can

Thanks Bob <stressed and bald lol

Is transmission removal a prerequisite to repairing a slave cylinder on that model? Sometimes clearing the emission codes will set things back in order. Have you done that, yet?
