Lightbulb 2000 GMC 1500/SLE 4WD indicator light on

My dash indicator has a 4WD light that stays on when I drive. My issue is that there are no indicator lights on the electric switch on, the truck feels like it's always in 4HI when the plow is off, but when I turn the steering wheel it feels like it"s in 4LO, and when I put my plow on the front wheels act as if the truck is in 2WD. I checked the switch with a new one, and that is fine. I've been told it is a ground. I HATE dealing with electronic wire chasing on vehicles, however, to pay someone to search is pretty costly. Please help me, I'm pulling what little hair I have OUT!!!

Emerad,

You have a defective position sensor in the encoder motor. Visit the link below.

still not looking good

since last time I pulled all of the wires away from the cabmount, took all of the tape off, checked all the wires and no cuts or rubs. And I cleaned the ground up . Did get a chance to put it into 2wd, initially it was in 4LO. Still no response after all of the wire wiggling. How much does that part cost by chance?
