Securing unit in van
I have a Vauxhall vivaro van and where the side door slides open i want to build a unit there, but how am i best securing it to the van.
any help would be great

What do you mean by a "unit"? Though this is primarily a North American site...we might be able to help...though terminology may be an issue.

Are you wanting shelves along the side walls of the van? If this is a cargo van you will have exposed 'ribs' that you can secure the shelving to. You can build the shelving structure out of wood or metal - basically whatever works best for you.

I'm trying to visualize what you are asking here. I'd say first thing is to use a shelving unit instead of separate shelves. Then use metal “L Brackets” on the top, sides and bottom to secure it to the wall and floor so it doesn’t move around.

Just check the underside of the van to verify that you won't drill through anything important when you secure the shelves to the floor. Self-tapping sheet-metal screws with the little drill bit tips work well for this task.
