RV Kohler Generator

I have an in line rv gen that just started leaking oil badly. Runs great and will still power entire rv but oil leaks directly on exhaust/muffler and smokes badly. Any ideas on what it could be? Going now to degrease gen compartment in hopes to work on tomorrow.

Yeah you are there. You should be able to see better then us. Once you specify the leak we can guide you on repair....

Off the bat I would say valve cover gasket... But who knows....

Could be as simple as a loose oil filter too.

Further along

Model 5CKM21 I have since removed gen from rv and have on workbench. Oil is dripping from gen side. Most gens that I have seen have a shaft on engine side running gen side but this looks to be one shaft. Is there a bushing or seal that could be causing oil leak where engine meets gen? Also on gen side rear there is a round hole at approx. 45 degree angle full of fresh oil? Blow by? Or is this hole suppose to fill up to warn of a particular problem? Thx
