f150 rust problems
I'm just curious, I have a blue 2008 f150 80,000mi and the rear wheel wells are rusting out already,just wondering if anyone else is having this problem,I contacted ford and they said it is out of warranty but they would pay 50% of bill to have it fixed, I think they should pay for all it, just wondering if these trucks are noted for rust problems or am i just unlucky.Seems ford must know something or i think they wouldn't pay anything. thanks

I know, that's why I'm thinking there must of been a design problem,even the head mechanic where I bought said that moisture was getting behind the metal and bubbling the paint causing it to rust out.

my 2002 has turned into a complete rust bucket... where we are at it's the damned sodium chloride they spray on the roads non-stop during the winter.

this is my 4th new ford 1992-2008 never had problems with any of the other ones, my wife has a 94 ranger with no rust,I agree what they are spraying the roads with isn't helping.

Your warranty is for rust perforation or rust through and not surface rust. Term is 5 years/unlimited miles.
