I finally stopped power steering leak.

I previously mentioned the difficulty I was having with a power steering leak on my 92' Ford Ranger. I changed the nylon O-ring where the pressure hose connects to the power steering pump outlet three times. I also replaced return hose and pressure hose. It still leaked.

Finally I put teflon tape on the male pressure hose threads. Then I improvised with a nylon oil drain plug gasket in which I widened the hole with a utility knife so It barely fit over the tube nut threads. Then I put the original spec O-ring on last and moderately tightened. Time will tell if this is a long term fix. But the leak has completely stopped.

I thought I'd share this in case anyone else is having similar difficulty.

Fix is still holding. Bone dry. I notice the power steering movement feels more solid with less play.
