auto light switch ???

Hi. My son has gotten a 2001 ford f150 xl. Its a nice truck for its age. The only thing is that he keeps forgetting to turn off the headlights when he comes home at night. Is there anyway to install an automatic switch of some sort on it. I would think that you could but i have no idea on how to do it.Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

You mean he can exit the truck with all that ding-ding-ding, noise and not realize he left the lights on??? I am sure JC Whitney or others have after market switches that can be fused in line with the headlights. Let him jump it off a few times on his own, without dad's car to assist and he'll come around. Good luck with it.

If he isnt capable of turning off the headlights maybe he shouldnt be driving. My son was just rear ended on a four lane highway at 55mph and totaled his vehicle. When the kids parents got there they sad "he was easily distracted" thank God no one was hurt,,,,,,,this time.
