Rear brake line help....96 s 10

OK ol red is down with more brake line issues. I was able to do the front myself with the ends I repaired only being flared....

These look like a double flare. I have the flare tool since I am a plumber but do not have a double flare... How important is it to make a double flare?????

Very, They sell brake lines at auto parts store by the foot. Cheaper than new tool. But I like new tools. Front medal lines should of been double flare also.

Yes but I need the ends too because the line is corroded in the nut.....

Plus to fit I will buy the 4 ft length and cut one end off to shorten.... I will take a look and see what they have,,,,,

I would only need to double flare one end...

Auto parts stores sell new lines with the ends already installed. IMO that's the best way to go. If the line is too long you can coil it somewhere along the line to take up the extra length. You can also buy a coupler and add 2 shorter lengths together.

I finally bought a double flare kit but only because my son's bronco has an odd ball brake line that has 2 different sized fittings and had to be custom made.
