1985 S 10 Truck 4 wheel drive

I replaced the accutor and a vacumn line on my S 10 truck, now it will not go out of 4 wheel drive unless you take the vacumn hose off. It has 3 hoses connected to transfer case, could the hoses be connected wrong?

Welcome to the forums! Yes, you probably have a return line hooked up where the suction needs to be. Try reversing the hoses. BTDT.

It may be a faulty vacuum switch at the transfer case too...

cooling system issue

My brother-in-law was telling me about this cooling system issue he's having with his '97 Ford F150. "It only happens when it's warming up from sitting overnight. It's strange. It starts to warm up normally, heater starts blowing warm air, then all of the sudden the heater blows cold air and the temp. needle drops way down. Then, when I get on the highway, the needle will spike all the way up to hot (pegs the top of the meter), so I usually pull over, the needle goes back down to normal, and then it's fine from then on." He says he took it into a good reputable shop where they replaced the thermostat and did a backflush of the cooling system, but none of that helped. I just dented the left front body panel on my 92' Ford Ranger XLT. I was backing out of space in a parking garage and banged into one of those concrete pillars. Nothing else was damaged. But it needs to be replaced. Is this bolted or welded on my make/model? Are there aftermarket body parts for this because I doubt the junk yard will have one. ThanksRead More
