1999 dodge ram 1500 4x4. 318 v8

Okay so a month ago my truck started acting up and I cant figure out whats wrong with it so I quit driving it.
Here is what its doing..... If the truck is ice cold it usually starts right up but when you put it in gear (forward/reverse) it stalls out instantly, then when you try to start it back up it wont unless gas peddle is to the floor and even with that itll barley start and dies when you let off the peddle. And if I get lucky and it don't stall out when put into gear it only drives a quarter mile before stalling again and at that point it won't even try to start. And also when I let it warm up, if I shut it off it once again re fuses to start...

Welcome to the forums.

Your problem sounds like a typical problem that plagues those engines. The Idle Air Control solenoid. That solenoid controls the idle air mixture. They get carboned up and get stuck shut or stuck open.

Enter the following in google or you tube and you'll get pages of videos illustrating how to remove it and clean it.
