Pickup Hopping around

My 2004 F150 feels like it wants to hop all over the road when I hit a bump. It also feels like a lot harder bump than when I drive one of my other vehicles over the same bump. Does this mean I need new shocks and struts?

Probably, which end of the truck seems to have the most movement when you hit a bump?

Front left. Not sure if I should replace just the front struts or the rear too?

Since it's mostly on one corner of the front, I'd be checking all the suspension and steering components for a worn part. You want to know for sure before you just start replacing stuff.

To be fair the tires need to be replaced as well. I was planning on doing that before summer is over. Need to save some money first. But I didn't think worn tires would cause the hopping. Do you?

Got knocked off of the forums let me try again;

New/good tires will mask the symptoms that worn parts exhibit. Replacing the tires might make the symptoms go away but they are likely to come back when the tires get worn again. You might try rotating the tires and see if that makes a difference.
