Arrow 96 Chevy S-10 Won't Blow Air Through Front Vents

I have the S-10 with the 4 cylinder engine, that is a 5 speed manual transmission. When I turn on the AC it will only come out of the vents next to the windshield and I can feel air hitting my feet. But nothing from the front vents in the cab. Any idea what the problem is?

When you turn the function control (A/C-Defrost-Heat-Etc.) did you previously hear the sound of air thru that valve as you turned it ?

Most dampers are vacuum air controlled..... you may have lost your vacuum air supply.

Pop the hood and check the vacuum hoses near and around the ball canister hanging from the hood , drivers side near winshield..

Those hoses often crack because of movement..

I lost all 4 wheel drive because of those hoses how I figured it out..

I have same truck but 4.3...

Arrow New part needed?

I hear the sound of air, but it only comes from the top vents next to the windshield ... what has to be done to get the vacuum air supply fixed?

As I said in post#3.. You need to check all vacuum hoses off manifold. As I said most common leak point is at canister..

Get some spray starting fluid (auto parts store) And carefully spray around any vacuum hoses under hood. Where engine sound picks up the leak is near there.
