Question 1992 Ford Ranger 4.0 clutch/brake

hello,
so my problem is that the clutch is slipping a bit for the last few weeks, and now the brake has got a little squishy, meaning it's losing the stiffness it had previously, so I checked the brake fluid and it was low so I filled it up and pumped the brakes but it's still not good, it does stop though, and the clutch is still slipping. so are these two systems tied together or do I have two separate issues? any thoughts?

Usually two different issues. Did the brake fluid go so low that you did not see any in reservoir?

If fluid went that low than you will first find leak and than bleed the whole system, If clutch is on same reservoir It will have to be bleed also.
