Do you have a volt meter or way to test the wires?

How did you hook it up and is it still hooked up? Did you connect all the same colored wires together?
For now leave the following wires unconnected (capped off)
Orange from the truck and Purple from the new harness.

Since you have a utility trailer the only wires you need are the following:

Brown = Stop/Tail
Green = Right Turn
Yellow = Left Turn
White = Ground

So connecting the same colored wires from the truck to the adapter should get you up and running.

If for some reason, the trailer lights don't work or weren't working before you started this, check the trailer ground wire.

The trailer white ground should be attached to the chassis of the trailer, usually screwed in below the tongue area. It may have broke loose and that will cause all lights to go out.
