2013 Ford E-250 A/C compressor noise

vehicle has under 40k miles on it and just my luck hottest days of summer and my ac goes out.

im attaching a video of what the ac compressor clutch is doing. it is engaging but making loud noise and not making any cold air.

what my question is if i should change the whole entire compressor, drier, orifice. or if i could get away with just changing the clutch itself. ideally i would like to change just the clutch so i dont have to deal with vacuuming and recharging etc.

suggestions???

Warning its loud. watch your speakers

If you turn the A/C off does that noise go away ?

I don't think it's clutch noise..... sounds more like internal compressor bearing noise.

I have a 99 E-350 superduty. The evaporator coil has a hole in it so I feel your pain.

would probably change the compressor, drier and orfice tube you can probably find a fairly inexpensive remanufactured or new compressor on ebay or rock auto.

when the ac is off the noise goes away. i figured it was internal just wanted to make sure before i go and replace parts. of course this week will be the hottest of the summer thus far.

yes i will be getting a new compressor, all new o rings, drier and orifice. thanks for confirming
