Panic Alarm
I have a 1999 Dodge Dakota. It does not have an alarm, just the panic button alarm on the key fob. The fob no longer opens the locks (they don't pop up), but it will lock the doors.
I changed the battery and tried to reset it but it still does not work.
For some reason the panic alarm has gone off twice, a loud, constant beep that I can not shut off.
Can I remove the power door lock fuse to remedy this?

The unlock button is defective.
As far as I know..... the panic alarm is incorporated in the BCM (body control) and cannot be disabled.
Probably easiest to replace the remote.
