1998 Tioga V10 SuperDuty engine 135K miles

Seeking some opinions please. When I put the RV in gear, I hear a big bang underneath the RV. This is the gear going into position I guess but why the loud bang ? Once I start driving, the transmission shifts fine and smoothly. The noise happens only when I select gears ( of course from the PARK position). Is this something I should be concerned about ? Could the transmission be low on oil ? Thank you for any inputs

I would be more inclined to suspect a universal joint than a transmission.

Since that's a gas engine in the front of the RV.... there will probably be several universal joints if it has a multi section drive shaft. Typically they are greaseable. If they haven't been greased they could be bad.
