1551 oil filter

Hi All, we have a slight oil leak around the top of the filter, replaced filter, same issue, any thoughts on how to seal it better, I doubt we could add a second O ring.

Oil filter on what?
100% sure the old sealing ring is not stuck to the filter housing?

.....And are you sure its the right filter? The collar of the filter might be hitting the block, preventing the o-ring from sealing.

Edit: by doing a quick google search on a 1551 oil filter... most of the searches come back to a NAPA 1551 hydrualic filter.

Without knowing what you're working on.......... just some hit & miss questioning/answers/ideas/notes.

Like Joe, the first thing I'd check would be to see if the old gasket/ring didn't get stuck to the engine. I've had that happen more than once but always caught it before I added oil.
