sewage smell from sink
For about a year now, I've been able to smell a slight foul odor from our kitchen sink that smells like sewage. We have not had any problems with our sewage tank and this odor is not present at any other water drains in the house. The p-trap under the sink appears to be intact and properly installed (the house is 11 years old). The Kitchen is not located in close proximity to our septic tank which is on the other side of the house. Could there be some tank air pressure buildup that needs to be vented? I'm stumped!!

The drain will have vent, and a vent pipe may be sticking out of the roof above the sink.
Make sure that the vent pipe is clear of debris. Flush it with a water hose sprayer.
When a vent is partially clogged and water runs through the drain pipes, it can siphon water out of the trap, allowing sewer gas back into the room.
Good Luck!
