installing toilet on a raised floor

I am installing hardwood floors in my powder room. The hardwood is about half an inch thick. I am worried that when I put the toilet back it won't seal because of the increase in height. Would I use 2 wax seals? any suggestions. Thanks.

Cool

If the toilet is over a basement or crawlspace, you can hacksaw the toilet closet bend, use a Fernco coupling to connect the line to raise the flange 1/2" to sit flush on top of the finished floor (only the thickness of the flange should be above floor level),
OR if you can't do that, you can use two wax rings (use the kind with a plastic sleeve for the top one).
Either way will work fine.
Just make sure that the flange is securely bolted/screwed to the floor, and the toilet is leveled and snuggly bolted to the flange.
Good Luck!

Look at flange extensions at large hardware / Homey Depot type stores. There are several thickness to choose from, or you can stack them to make what you need.

2 wax rings are also, say a Harvey #10 and the 3/4" wax only ring.
