joining PVC pipe

I am trying to join a 2" PVC pipe in my outdoor fish pond to a flexible tube so that I can convert the waterfall to a spout. What is the best way to go about it, should I get a coupling joint or just simply glue the 2 parts together. The joint needs to be submerged.

Thanks,

You will need a barbed hose fitting and clamps for the flexible tubing. These can not be glued.

Your best bet would be to glue a female pipe thread adapter to the PVC and then install a threaded barb fitting as Davef15 suggested.

Cool

threaded barbed tubing connector = aka king nipple, when shopping for one. Use two stainless steel hose clamps.
