plumbing

when i turn on my kitchen sink full blast or normal, the water will come out for a second and then i hear a clunk and it just shut off. if i turn it off and turn it back on real low it will run continually like it is suppose to, but it won't run continually if i turn it on normal or full blast. i'm only having this problem in my kitchen. it's been doing this for the past week. i did notice that it did this a couple weeks ago, i didn't pay much attention to it because it only did it a couple of times and went back to normal. but now it is doing it everytime i turn the water on.

help???

Cool

It sounds like it may be a cartridge type that needs to have the cartridge replaced.

Cool

It is inside the faucet body, and you can D-I-Y.First, turn off the water (hot and cold) at the cut-off valves under the sink. If you don't have cut-off valves under the sink, you will need to turn off the main.
Remove the handle, and dismantle the faucet. Take the innards to a hardware store and get replacement parts exactly like them, and install them exactly like the old parts came out.
You can do a search on faucets (above) for a lot of how-to info.
Good luck!
Mike
