leaky shower faucet

I have aa American Standard single valve shower faucet that trickles water every time toilets are flushed or other faucets are used. What gives?

Cool

My best guess is that there is a cartridge that is over-lubed inside the faucet that is being activated by water pressure.
I'm not a pro plumber or familiar with American Standard faucets particularly, but I've seen this type of problem discussed in here.
Turn off the water, take the faucet apart from the tub side, and check out the innards of the faucet.
If they're over-lubed, wipe it off, and if not, replace it.
Good Luck!
Mike
