my tub faucet is a single knob and when i turn to the hot water side it bearly comes out but the cold water side is fine and the faucet in my other bathroom is the same and it is not clogged but i can never get it to turn completely off, it is constantly leaking. me thinking it is a small thing that can be easily and uncostly repaired asked a plumber to come and take a look. he said that my hot water heater needed to be replaced because the plastic rod was peeling and all the plastic was clogging the lines and due to the fact my heater is almost 20 years old (ruud model# 0184B15148) it wasent possible to replace the rod. and he would also have to flush out all my lines to get the plastic out. my question basically is should i trust this guy, i mean could this really be the problem and if so is my heater impossible to repair? please help! thank you!!

Hello and help! I had a sump pump installed last November. The drain goes up the basement wall and out at ground level. I need to run a drain pipe from this to the rear of the property, approximately 110 ft. I bought PVC pipe with connectors and Oatey cleaner and cement. I am unsure of the proper usage of the cleaner and cement. Do you let the cleaner dry before applying the cement? Also, do I need to buy a primer? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
