I am re-installing the shower drain, how long should I wait to use the shower after the re-install??
Thanks in advance,

No need to wait, putty is soft and does not harden. can be used right away.

But if you are installing a plastic drain to a fiberglass tub, then you shouldn't be using putty... you should use silicone caulking in which case you should wait 3 to 4 hours before your first use after the install... If you read the instructions that come with the shower drain, it will recommend caulking because the flex in the plastic drain and fiberglass tub connection will cause the putty to leak early... also the putty can have an adverse reaction to the plastic...
