Unhappy Valve seat stuck in cold water faucet

Can anyone assist on the best (if possible) method of removing an older cold-water valve seat from the gerber faucet of a bath tub? It is pitted to the point of constant leak, yet I can't seem to loosen it with the standard valve seat wrench I have. I'd hate to break open the wall to get at it (and replace piping) if I don't have to. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Gerber uses a 5/16" allen size for vavle seats. Use a 't' handle wrench and tap it into place and twist the old seat out. Drive the Allen wrench in place firmly before you turn it.

More questions or problems, ask away and someone will answer you....have fun and happy holidays...
