water heaters ?
#1

Hello all ! I had some great help on here before concerning my stove. So...I am back asking for help again......I love this site !
I am planning on purchasing a new water heater. There are 2 people in the house, so I plan to buy a 40 gallon tank. Can someone please advise me on what options to ask the salesman?
Am going to Home Depot to buy one most likely. I've heard about "recovery rates". By the way, I live in Florida, and they say I need an expansion tank for code rules. I am also concerned about a disconnect box? I read someone else's post on here about problems with getting their heater approved by codes dept. They require a permit here, also, for water heater installation. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Any help is greatly appreciated !

Call your plumbing inspector dept. ask them what they want to see, 40 gal should be fine for 2 of you, you want to get a long warranty water heater, like a 10 year tank. An expansion tank is needed if your on a closed system, meaning no place for the water to expand to when the heater heats up at night, or when not in use, if they require it by your cdoe, then yes you will need to put one in.
