Bath faucet

My shower/tub faucet is the single-knob type which is hot when fully open. The problem I am having is that when I open it fully it only gets warm. If I really turn it hard a little further (maybe 1/4") it will get hot but springs back to the "warm position" as soon as I let go. Is there any way to adjust it so that when it is turned the whole way to "hot" it is really flowing hot water?

Actually, yes... Take the handle off and under it you will find a small white or black piece of plastic that is a limiter for the hot to keep someone from having scalding water in the tub... If you look closely at the little piece it will usually have small markings indicating which direction will make it hotter or cooler....

Thanks for the tip. I took it apart and found what you were talking about. I adjusted it about 1/8" and it's just the right temperature now.
