Relocate bathtub drain in the basement

Hi,

I am installing a new full bath int the basement. I need to move the drain from its original location. Do I have to dig through the basement foundation to run it? Or running it on top of it and raise the tub? How do most people do?

Thanks.

Bust up the concrete, it's not that hard to do, and it's not that hard to replace. You can rent an electric jackhammer or rotary drill (messy & very loud), or use a saw and concrete blades (loud & very messy).

IMO, you will end up with a nicer installation this way, as opposed to a raised platform, which will look kind of silly.
