Kitchen faucet- water taste

After installing a new kitchen faucet I am getting an odd odor and taste from the water. It goes away after running the water for a minute or so. The faucet has a pull-out spray nozzle with a flex hose. The old faucet was similar but never gave me this problem. Other faucets in the house do not have the problem so I know it's not the water. The faucet has been in use for several months now. Any ideas?

Well, my first thought would be to call the faucet people and ask if they have had the complaint... It is possible that the hose is made out of some material that is reacting with your water for some reason... It seems obvious that it is the faucet, but if you don't want to replace it, call them first...
