bladder tank empty

Water pump would not shut off, (pretty old - 30 yrs.+), replaced it. Bladder tank at 28 psi - water pump 30/50. Worked great last night - today - no water. Water pump pressure at 5 - sound like no water in bladder tank. What did I do wrong?

Cool

The air pressure in the bladder tank is correct.
With the water pressure off of the system, the air bladder should be two psi below the 30 psi cut-on pressure.
Sounds like you may have lost prime and /or you have a leak on the suction (well) side of the pump.
See www.peekspump.com for more information. this is Ron Peeks' site, and he is the resident wells-and-pumps expert.
Good Luck!
