Unhappy Bad smell from sink

Please help!!!
For the past few months, there is some bad smell coming out from 2 of my unuse sinks. I though the U-tube were empty and smell came from street. So I fill water to the sink, and it doesn't seem like working at all. Any idea?

Thanks,
CK

try some bleach in the sink overnight. Be sure that you have P-traps connected to the sink. Be sure there is not a crack in the p-trap.

smelly drain in sink

I have had the same problem. I have emptied a box of baking soda down drain, run a small amount of water through and let sit over night. Should help.

Cool

You probably have a smelly black algae buildup.
Get a good enzyme-based drain cleaner like DrainCare. It will eat out all organic stuff, but won't hurt your sink or drain pipes.
Run warm water in the sink drains AND overflow holes.
Pour DrainCare in the drains, and then plug the overflow holes below the sink drain lip with an old rag, and pour DrainCare in the overflow holes.
Let sit overnight, and then flush drains and overflow holes with very hot water. You may have to do it more than once, but a good enzyme-based cleaner works best.
Good luck!
Mike
