Question kitchen faucet

I have no hot water at my kitchen sink. Cold comes on fine but when you turn the single lever over to hot nothing happens, what could that be?

Well, first thing to do is to turn off the hot and cold beneath... Take the stem out of the faucet and check for debris in the stem assembly or the faucet body... With the stem out, turn the hot on slowly while holding a cup over the spout opening (keep a towel handy too)... See if you get hot to the faucet body... You may get some trash to blow out that way... If, you still have no hot, reassemble the faucet and turn the water off to the house... Drain all the water down at all the fixtures... With all the water drained down, take the stem out of the hot shutoff at the kitchen sink and check it for debris... Keep a bucket handy for any excess water... If you get a bunch of white debris there, you may need a new diptube in your water heater or a new heater... If you see tons of rust, then you have galvanized piping and you need new water pipe run in copper or cpvc...
