Silicon caulk clean up

OK so I should have read up on it here first. :-) Regardless I have silicon caulk to clean up off the tub after recaulking the shower surround. What should I do? Also if I want to touch up the caulk, can I simply apply a layer over the new layer or do I have to remove all the caulk and start over again? I don't have the steadiest of hands. :-(

Silicone caulk is some sticky stuff, best claened before it dries, using rubbing acohol.

If an area needs a touch up, make sure it is clean, apply and clean as you go.
