Question kitchen sink/dishwasher drain problem

Can anyone help with a kitchen drain problem? Our kitchen drain was clogged. Snaking didn't clear it so my husband cut the pipe in the basement in order to snake more thoroughly. He then inserted a rubber sleeve and clamps to close the system.

At first this seemed to solve the problem. We ran the dishwasher and the first cycle ran fine but when it hit the rinse cycle the water again backed up into the kitchen sink.

We did take the kitchen trap off to check for clogs - there wasn't one. A lot of gunk did come out when the lines were snaked and the pipes appear to be clean.

However the dishwasher continues to back up water into the kitchen sink and then drains back into the dishwasher. We repositioned the drain hose but it didn't help anything.

All the other drains in the house - two bathrooms and clothes washer appear to work just fine. They are farther down the system and closer to the main then the kitchen.

We did recently replace our sewage pump which is only used to pump below grade water from the clothes washer up to the sewer line.

We have again tried plunging the drain.

Any suggestions or is it time to call a plumber??

You need to snake the drain line from the trap out to clear the blockage. Apparently, it is near the kitchen sink trap and you need to go back, and go from there.
Good Luck!
