Question Plumbing Venting

I am renovating an old bathroom in an Very Old house. Post and Beam construction. The room size is 8X13. As it stands now, a 3" vent line is within 8 feet of all fixtures, toilet, sink, shower. The post and beam makes it almost impossible to route a vent line around the room perimeter to the 3" stack through the roof. The uprights are 5x5 chestnut and I would have to fir out the room by 2 inches to fit the vent line. The orginal bathroom that was removed worked just fine with the vent line 6-8 feet away from all the fixtures. The only fixture that meets the 3.5 feet rule from the vent will be the sink. Can I live with the toilet and shower being greater than 3.5 feet??

Toilet needs to be within 6 feet and shower 5 feet.

Hopes this meets your design.

Distance from fixture to vent varies with the diameter of the the drain line.

1 1/4 inch ----- 2.5 feet
1 1/2 inch ---- 3.5 feet
2 inch ----- 5 feet
3 inch ----- 6 feet

As always, not valid in all juristictions, your milage may vary. Discuss specifics with your local approving authority.

Took your advice and ran the 2" line around the bathroom to bring the vent within code of the toilet. I will lose 2" in the length of the room but can live with that instead of a poor flush
