Burying Copper in Concrete

Are there any corrosion problems with burying K copper pipe in concrete? I'm having my dirt floor crawl space concreted and was concerned about the water service pipe.

Thanks.....

Well, it is good that you have type K... However, anywhere that the copper will contact the concrete directly, you should sleeve it... They make special sleeving material that is basically just 9 mil or so plastic sleeving material... I personally just use the cheap foam insulation instead, so that I don't ever have to worry about the concrete scratching through the thinner material... Just make sure the concrete and copper don't touch or you will shorten the life of your copper pipes by a few decades...
