Post wax seal for toilet

I'm installing a new toilet, and there seems to be 2 sizes of wax seals (no 1 & no 3), but which to use. Both packages say "fit 3 & 4 inch lines". The manufacture sent nothing in the packaging, and there is little to nothing on there web site to this issue. I'm not sure what hte difference betweeen the two seals are. I DON'T WANT IT TO LEAK!!!!!!!! Please advise, thanks.

P.S. Why are the simple things always complicted?

Now who ever said plumbing was simple?

I have seen wax seals numbered that way by thickness, and I have seen other brands label them with different numbers because one has a collar and another may not... The diameter of the two wax rings is what counts and the diameter should be standard on the two rings you have... Just use the either one and forget about it...

I use standard wax on all sets, and never use ones with horns, the ones with the horns if set wrong can actually cause problem, also there not code approved here.
