Question Another "Problem removing old kitchen faucet"

Hi all,

I'm looking for some assistance with my project. I am replacing my old single-lever Delta ball faucet with another single-lever and I am having trouble removing the mounting nuts. After a lot of lube and effort, the mounting nuts are turning as well as the tail pieces, but nothing is actually disconnecting. I was under the impression that the typical configuration was that the tail pieces were soldered to the plate and the nuts fastened it to the sink. Anyone have suggestions as to how I can remove it? BTW, the sink is out, making this much easier to wrangle with!

Thanks much!

Well get out the drill and a good bit, and drill the nuts off, since your replacing the faucet, who cares how you get the old faucet removed from the sink.
